In-House Processing

While magnesium is a potentially volatile material, the alloy is relatively straightforward to cut. Magnesium has a much lower cutting resistance when compared to most alloys (only 55% of the power required to cut aluminium) and is usually cut dry. Although powder and dust produced during the cutting process are incredibly flammable, safe storage practices and the use of sharp cutting tools will eliminate risk.

We have all the necessary experience and expertise to process your magnesium bar products in-house, and to lengths which suit your requirements. Our 'cut to size' service is an attractive proposition to our customers due to the potential hazards encountered during processing.
