Elektron® 43 Magnesium (WE43)

Regarded as a high-strength magnesium casting alloy for motorsport applications, Elektron® 43 (WE43) offers superior mechanical properties at both ambient and elevated temperatures. The material can be used successfully in temperatures up to 300°C. Characteristics of the product include excellent energy absorption characteristics. The alloy also displays good corrosion resistance and is an excellent choice for motorsport applications where weight reduction is required while still maintaining the highest levels of performance. We offer the product in bar form; the alloy can be welded using the tungsten arc inert gas process.
